Bloggy Giveaway Carnival Part Three!
Java java java java java! What's not to love? Chai Latte, Mocha, straight drip, tea, Caramel Apple Cider, Skinny Latte, Frapasomethingorother - it's all good.
Does anybody else have issues when you order your drink at one of these places? I can never remember what order it goes in - is the decaf before the grande? And where does the iced part go? I was trying to order a chai the other morning and couldn't get the "no water" part out. My brain was still asleep and it kept coming out "no foam". That's why I keep it simple - I can't handle anything more complex than Grande No Water Chai. (and not even that some mornings, Gah!) But I love listening to what everyone else orders. I think the most high maintenance (blame my husband, that's what he calls it!) order I've heard was a Grande White Chocolate No Fat No Foam Extra Hot Latte with a Shot of Caramel. (Sounds good, doesn't it?)

Wellll I used to work at Starbucks, and the most high-maintenance drink I can remember was someone who wanted their latte at about 126 degrees or something like that...he would stand over the (non-digital) thermometer to make sure it was perfect...funny thing was, the temperature he wanted it was significantly lower than starbucks standards...oh well! :)

The most high maintenence drink I've ever heard ordered.... I was behind a guy in line with my sister once and his order was: dry skim sugar-free vanilla cappuccino, 2 splendas, 116 degrees. I kid you not. Then, when he picked up his order, he shook it and said it wasn't dry enough... ? *shrug* :)

I am not very high maintenance...I just like a vanilla steamer...in other words a little warm milk with some vanilla...Easy and comforting! I would love to be entered in your contest.

My fav is a cinnamon dolche latte... but before they introduced "skinny" I had to order a tall cinnamon dolche latte with non fat milk, sugar free syrup, and no whip. Skinny is much better.

Yes, I get a little nervous about these things, and making a fool of myself ordering something ridiculously wrong, so I get the same thing, every time--tall latte. If it's late, I'll get a decaf.

As a non-coffee drinker, I rarely go inside a Starbucks, so I am not aware of any odd orders. I only go there for their coffee-free tall Strawberries & Crème Frappuccino with whipped cream. They are to die for but about 5000 calories, I bet!

My son has his fav drink created by a barista in Ft. Wayne written on a little card that he hands over each time he orders! Wonder where he gets it from, my fav is hot chocolate or caramel apple cider.

I'm the high maintenance drink orderer. I love the Chai latte, but there is this way they prepare it which is NOT on the menu. (hate the menu way) which is amazing. It involves steamed milk, honey and something else i forget...
I usually go through the drive thru so I can't tell you what the most high maintenance order I've heard.

I generally go through the drive thru (especially back when the kids still always fell asleep in the car, I'd get them asleep, then hit the drive thru and sit & read a book & sip my starbucks while they napped, ahhhh . . . those were the days LOL.

I'm usually a plain hot chocolate girl. But lately I've been trying to see how I can cut calories and I was reading the instructional pamphlet telling you what to cut out "no foam" soy milk, sugar free, etc. I was so confused by the end that I didn't order at all!
I'm pretty high maintenance... an extra shot, and I'd fill up every box on the order cup.

I worked at Starbucks for a short time. I think the Vinte sugar free, double carmel macchiato, skinny, no whip, with extra squeeze and a dash of cinnamon was probably the one that had me asking for a repeat...
I personally love a well made mocha breve.

Mine is easy peasy, Java Chip Frapp but to make it longer I could say: "Java Chip Frapp Grande although I prefer a Choc. Brownie Frapp. But the evil meanies did away with it" :)
I'm fairly low maintenance. White chocolate mocha decaf lowfat (or is is no fat?). Oh well, easy on the fat.
I tend to just go with regular coffee, but on a splurge I love a cappuccino.

I was a barista for almost 4 years (at in independent shop, not Starbucks), so I've heard it all. One of the higher-maintenance ones I've ever heard is a non-fat, sugar-free blended mocha, extra thick, with whipped cream AND the lady's own protein powder that she brought in. So strange. Her drink tasted totally disgusting.
I always just get a breve or a chai. I'm pretty easy to please.

Grande triple shot nonfat wet hazelnut cappuccino, extra hot, light whip. If you didn't do it perfect, she'd dump it and demand a re-do, and she came in three times a day! That was before the baristas could write on the cups like they do now, even..I hated making her drinks.)

When I was working in a high paced sales environment I would always order a triple grande non-fat, no foam latte. Now that I'm a stay at home mom of triplet boys, I drink a tall, non-fat, no faom latte. I am a Starbucks addict!

Whenever I have a Starbucks gift card , I give it to my daughter in law and oldest granddaughter for them to have a "time together". If I went I would want the hot chocolate because I am not a coffee drinker.
